Minnie's Brownies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• Salt, to taste (amount not recorded, see note)
• Eggs (amount not recorded, see note)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup cocoa
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions

1. Cream the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
2. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well.
3. Sift in the flour and cocoa and add with the milk, blend.
4. Add nuts if desired.
5. Bake in a 9x13 pan for 1 hour at 300°F.
6. Frost with chocolate icing and cut into squares.

Notes

• The original recipe's ingredient list doesn't specify amounts for salt or eggs even though the directions call for them. Most brownie recipes this size use 2-3 eggs and a pinch of salt, worth confirming before you make it.
