Double Chocolate Tassies
Ingredients
Dough:
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 pkg cream cheese (3 oz, softened)
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
Filling:
- 1 egg
- 2 Tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (about half milk chocolate, half peanut butter chips)
Drizzle:
- 1/3 of the mixed chips
- 1-2 teaspoons Crisco (not butter, oil, or margarine)
Directions
- Beat together the butter and cream cheese. Add the flour and sugar. Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Shape into balls (about walnut size) and press into tassie pans.
- Stir the egg, sugar, vanilla, butter, and lemon juice until smooth, then stir in the chocolate chips. Evenly fill the tassie cups.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely.
- Combine the reserved chips and Crisco in a decorator bag and microwave about 30 seconds, or until melted. Snip the end and drizzle over the tassies.
