7 Minute Icing
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp white Karo syrup
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cup cold water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Dash of salt
Directions
- In the top of a double boiler, combine all ingredients except the vanilla.
- Place the double boiler over heat and beat with an electric mixer for 7-10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the vanilla. Beat one more minute. Icing should form stiff peaks with a spatula.
